a poem for today, 2 August 2012
[a letter sorted sonnet of sixteen sentences and its image]
Hey sweaty feet, stop laughing.
I got a job in a library in Canada.
I'm not an alcoholic, I promise.
I like to keep my leg in as it were.
Just don't forget your promise.
I aint paying you to be my mother.
I've only got a few moments left.
The summer is always a weird time.
I wasn’t there in the beginning.
I just want all of this behind us.
I wish I'd missed it all together.
You should have come to me first.
The man with the yellow hat is a fool.
Yes would you please put it there.
This is the object lesson, this.
It tends to ruin the surprise.
