a poem for today

a poem for today, 2 March 2012
[a letter sorted sonnet of eight sentences and its image]
Thank you.
It's my fault.
None of them appear to notice.
Straight from the horse’s mouth, if you will.
Their fathers were very different but they were both born insane.
The highest number of 'unduly lenient' sentences given out by a single judge was ten.
Even in the case of individually created works, the locus of literary production falls within the collective shadow.
What we currently have is an intellectual failure, a failure to truly include the totality of human sex and gender expression in our cultural imaginary.
